Virtuozzo 3.5.1 Adds Migration Tool
Quoting from Redmondmag.com:

SWsoft is shipping a minor update to its Virtuozzo server virtualization product for Windows that adds a graphical "physical-to-virtual" migration tool to help administrators automate the process of moving from a dedicated physical server to a virtual server environment.

Besides releasing Virtuozzo for Windows 3.5.1, the company has also added an automated workflow tool to its Virtuozzo Management Tools to help manage end-user requests for additional virtual servers with pre-determined configurations.

"The new VZP2V physical-to-virtual tool [in 3.5.1 is designed] for administrators to easily move from a dedicated physical server to a Virtuozzo virtual server…[which] helps determine what resources a server and application require to ensure that the virtual server delivers the same performance," according to a statement from the Herndon, Virginia company.

Meanwhile, the new Virtual Server Provisioning Workflow tool that has been added to the Virtuozzo Management Tools lets users request new virtual servers. Administrators can approve or disapprove creation of new virtual servers with a single mouse click.

SWsoft shipped version 3.5 of Virtuozzo in November. That update primarily added support for Intel's EM64T and AMD's AMD64 64-bit memory addressing.

Virtuozzo starts at $1,000 per CPU and the Virtuozzo Management Tools start at $1,000 per seat for unlimited servers.
