According to RedmondMag.com, this week, Alero Technology announced it is shipping Release 2 of its Alero 2006 enterprise information management package.

R2 provides complete system virtualization for systems, applications and data. Other additions include new Web-based management tools for administration and operations tasks, which enable users to manage complex solutions comprised of multiple systems as if they were a single system. Virtualization of management is designed to simplify the initial and ongoing configuration, maintenance, monitoring, supporting and troubleshooting of the solution.
"Alero 2006 provides products and solutions for enterprise information management, including and combining enterprise content integration, enterprise information integration, enterprise content management (ECM) and business process management (BPM) capabilities in a single, consistent solution," the company's statement said.
