Propero Announces workSpace Manager Version 5.3
Propero, a leader in user virtualization
software, today introduced workSpace Manager 5.3 -- boasting new advances in
mass personalization of applications for large organizations.  Also included
in Manager 5.3 is an innovative event triggering technology that significantly
cuts the cost of configuring software for laptop computing devices.  These new
features further increase the advantages of Propero's user virtualization
software for enterprises seeking to lower costs and increase control of
distributed computing.
workSpace Manager is part of the Propero workSpace software platform, an
enterprise solution that delivers a seamless user experience regardless of
application infrastructure:  centralized, distributed or mixed.  It
dynamically creates and manages a virtual workspace for each user based on the
user's entitlements and location.  workSpace Manager automatically configures
access devices for an individual user and offers extensive support for mobile
working.
The new technology in workSpace Manager 5.3 automatically and dynamically
personalizes applications for end-users based on group, location and machine
class policies.  This functionality, combined with Propero's industry leading
user entitlements technology, dramatically simplifies the task of maintaining
local applications in large organizations and makes Manager an excellent
solution for hot-desking and call center operations.  "By eliminating the
manual effort involved in personalizing applications, IT organizations can
achieve very significant cost savings," said Robin Crewe, chief technology
officer and co-founder of Propero.
workSpace Manager's new event trigger functionality delivers major
security benefits and simplifies life for laptop users, who switch between
on- and off-line working.  A mobile worker's applications can be configured to
detect whether the worker is on- or off-line and automatically write to a
secure, central data-store or an encrypted local file share without any
involvement from the user.
