Akimbi Signs Leading Virtualization Resellers to Launch its Channel Strategy
Akimbi Systems, the global leader in Virtual Lab Automation Systems, today announced it has signed partnership agreements with 14 leading value-added resellers, launching the company’s channel strategy in the North American market. The new Akimbi Charter Resellers – including AccessFlow, Adeara, Agile360, Brigh Technologies, Collective Technologies, Entisys, Foedus, IPM, IT Partners, LogicsOne, New Age Technologies, Programmer’s Paradise, RapidApp, and VMPowered – all currently resell virtualization solutions from VMware and others, and will now market and sell the Akimbi Slingshot Virtual Lab Automation System to complement their existing virtual infrastructure product and service offerings.
“Akimbi has made a strategic decision to go to market exclusively through the channel, and we are fully dedicated to the success of these top-tier partners as the inaugural resellers of Akimbi solutions,” said James Phillips, Akimbi Systems CEO. “The market is ready for solutions that leverage the growing presence of virtual machine technology in the data center, and resellers with deep experience and expertise in virtualization are particularly well-positioned to take advantage of this opportunity. The Akimbi Charter Resellers are the cream of that crop. ”
Akimbi Systems’ flagship product, the Akimbi Slingshot Virtual Lab Automation System, leverages virtual machine technology from companies like VMware and Microsoft to help enterprise application development teams, and the IT operations groups that support them, address a number of critical challenges, including:
- controlling test lab server, storage and network equipment sprawl;
- minimizing the overhead of manual, time-consuming test setup and provisioning;
- eliminating the cost of system failures due to latent defects in software systems.
Akimbi Slingshot automates the rapid setup and teardown of any number of complex multi-machine software configurations, and makes them available to users on a self-service basis, saving time and accelerating application development processes. With Akimbi Slingshot, organizations can pool and share servers, storage and network equipment resources, lowering "server-to-staff ratios" and reducing capital expenditures.
