Tangosol and DataSynapse Partner to Extend Benefits of Virtualization to Data- Intensive Applications

Quoting from the official press release:

DataSynapse, Inc., the global provider of virtual application infrastructure software, today announced a strategic technology and marketing partnership with Tangosol, Inc., the leading provider of reliable data grid solutions.

The joint solution enables enterprises to run data-intensive applications with optimal resource utilization as well as optimal data availability enabling unparalleled efficiency and performance. By combining DataSynapse software with Tangosol Coherence™, firms gain reliable, instantaneous access to distributed data in memory, empowering them to handle very large data volumes across enterprise-class grids.

"This partnership is already helping several major institutions combine our best-of-breed technologies to create highly scalable shared services platforms, complete with end-to-end dynamic provisioning, scheduling, data caching, and synchronization," noted Jamie Bernardin, Chief Technology Officer and Founder of DataSynapse. "Tangosol and DataSynapse technologies are integrated seamlessly - enabling process intensive and J2EE applications to benefit from data grid functionality."

Java services virtualized by DataSynapse technology automatically have access to data grid functionality such as caching, synchronization, and locking facilities. Tangosol Coherence has been integrated with both DataSynapse GridServer and FabricServer products.

"Enterprises that combine these two technologies will be able to predictably scale their environments with confidence, knowing that their critical application resources and data will be available and responsive as required," explained Cameron Purdy, president of Tangosol. "Our common goal is to improve service levels, while reducing the cost and complexity commonly associated with enterprise-scale grid computing."
