IBM Buys Swiss Software Maker Rembo

Quoting from chron.com

International Business Machines Inc. said on Thursday it will acquire Rembo Technology, a privately held Swiss software company, for an undisclosed sum.

Rembo, based in Geneva, Switzerland, makes software that helps businesses automate the process of upgrading or install operating systems on servers or computers. It has more than 800 customers, including the City of Munich and the International Committee of the Red Cross.

Upon close of the acquisition _ expected to happen in the second quarter _ IBM plans to integrate Rembo operations with IBM's Tivoli software division, led by Al Zollar. Rembo will be included in IBM's Virtualization Engine portfolio of software, hardware and services, and Rembo's technology will be integrated in IBM Director software.
