Microsoft Finalizes Purchase Of Softricity For Undisclosed Terms
Microsoft Corp. said it finalized the purchase of Softricity Inc., a provider of application virtualization and dynamic streaming technologies. However, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Microsoft noted that the transaction helps its customers reduce costly application management processes, accelerate application and operating system deployments, and create a foundation for a software services infrastructure.

Softricity will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Microsoft. Microsoft said the purchase will allow its customers to reduce application management process costs, speed application and operating system deployments and make a foundation for a software services infrastructure.
Microsoft shares gained 14 cents to $22.43 in afternoon trading on the Nasdaq.
