Egenera lands $26M in funding
Egenera Inc., a maker of enterprise-computer services that simplify data center operations and infrastructure, has received $26 million in a Series E round of funding, the company said on Monday.

Marlborough, Mass.-based Egenera will use the money to accelerate the company's growth and to develop technology innovations in virtualization and utility computing. In total, the company has raised more than $150 million in private funding.

The round was led by new Pharos Capital Group LLC in Dallas and Fujitsu Siemens Computers. The round was completed at a significantly increased valuation over Egenera's previous financing round.
