Quoting the JCN Network
Proton Co., Ltd. have concluded a contract with the U.S.-based Parallels for the release of Parallels Desktop for Mac, a virtualization software for Intel-powered iMac, Mac Mini, MacBook or MacBook Pro that can be used to run Windows, Linux or any other operating system at the same time as Mac OS X.
The software allows users to change from Mac OS X to Windows and vice versa without rebooting. In addition, it allows access to files from either OS via a shared folder and enables the copy-and-paste of data from one OS to another. Other functions include a dual monitor function and simultaneous use of multiple virtual machines running on different operating systems such as Windows and Linux.
Parallels Desktop for Mac will be released on November 11 and is priced at 18,900 yen.
