I don't know about you, but when I saw this post on the VMTN Blog site, it immediately grabbed my interest.  According to a quick search on Indeed.com, it appears as though the average VMware salary for job postings nationwide is about 115% higher than the average data center salary.  The industry is realizing that it needs virtualization in-house, but along with that need comes the need for a trained individual to install, configure, and operate such an environment.  The following average salaries were found:

VMware Admin Average: $73,000

System Admin Average: $62,000

IT Average: $48,000

Data Center Average: $34,000
