Sentillion vBusiness and NWN Corporation Sign Reseller Agreement

Sentillion vBusiness, a division of Sentillion, Inc., and NWN Corporation today announced they have signed an agreement under which NWN will resell Sentillion’s vThere solution, an award-winning packaged desktop virtualization product, to organizations looking for a cost-effective and easily deployed approach to managing distributed workforces.  As a Gold Partner, NWN will serve as a primary value-added reseller (VAR) partner in the eastern United States and will work with Sentillion to market, deliver and support vThere in a variety of markets including financial services, education, utilities and media.

vThere is a packaged desktop virtualized solution, which leverages virtualization technology to create a corporate managed secure end-point that runs on any contemporary Windows based workstation. End points at remote locations such as a virtual call center agent’s home office are secured and controlled by creating corporate virtual computers, which run on, but are isolated from, the underlying unmanaged PC.

“One of many benefits of vThere is that it makes connecting to the corporate network simple for remote workers and it manages the VPN connection,” said Mont Phelps, president & CEO, NWN Corporation.  “To that end, we see vThere as an add-on to our Cisco remote access business.”

Remote workers, including teleworkers, virtual call center employees, contractors, business partners, or temporarily displaced employees, require access to corporate applications and data in order to be productive.  This presents serious technology and security challenges because the IT department has the added responsibility of deploying and managing remote desktops, while also trying to navigate the complex security challenges associated with remote access into the enterprise.  vThere is designed to help organizations overcome these challenges in a simple, cost-effective and secure manner.

“We are pleased to partner with NWN to offer its customers our industry-leading packaged virtualization solution,” said Paul Roscoe, president, Sentillion vBusiness.  “We believe vThere compliments many of the IP telephony solutions offered by NWN and based on their stature in the Cisco channel, we believe this relationship offers significant business opportunities.”
