VMware Converter - Problem with Build

Damian Murdoch passed along the following information: If you downloaded VMware Converter 3.0 build 36853, you will need to download it again. VMware sent out a notice today saying that the build had an issue where it expired on February 1st. There is a new build that resolves these issues (build 39557). It is recommended that if you had installed the old build, that you remove it and reinstall the new build.

Here is the official item sent out from VMware:

Thank you for downloading VMware Converter 3.0 Enterprise edition. We hope that this next-generation enterprise class migration tool from VMware is helping jumpstart your virtualization projects and accomplish your virtualization goals faster.

We wanted to inform you that we have identified an important functional issue with VMware Converter Enterprise build# 36853 that was released on Jan 29th, 2007. This issue causes the installed VMware Converter 3.0 Enterprise product license to expire on Feb 1st, 2007, thereby disabling all conversion functionality.

This functional issue has been fixed and an updated VMware Converter 3.0 Enterprise build# 39557 is now available for download at http://www.vmware.com/download/CONVERTER3

We highly recommend and encourage you uninstall the version of VMware Converter 3.0 Enterprise (build# 36853) currently installed on your system, and download and install the most recent version of VMware Converter 3.0 Enterprise (build# 39557) available at http://www.vmware.com/download/CONVERTER3.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this issue and we look forward to delivering a pleasant user experience and seamless workflow with this new and improved migration tool.

We sincerely thank you for your support, patience and invaluable feedback that has helped us develop the most efficient tools and products over the years.
