Trigence Names John Hamilton as EVP & Chief Operating Officer

Trigence, the leader in virtualization at the application level, today announced that it has appointed John Hamilton as its Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO). Hamilton is a technology industry veteran who brings a wealth of experience in management and technology sales with companies ranging in size from start-ups to Fortune 100. In this position, Hamilton will work closely with David Roth, Trigence’s CEO, to build the business infrastructure that will enable the company to drive to the next level.

“John has an outstanding depth and breadth of strategic and operational experience that we will draw on as we continue to broaden our application virtualization solution and execute on our vision,” said Roth. “John has a proven track record of driving sustained growth in enterprise software companies. His background and experience will help us execute on our strategic growth plan and lead the next phase of Trigence’s global expansion. It’s a pleasure to welcome him to Trigence.”

Hamilton is a seasoned senior executive with extensive management expertise including leadership of global sales and technical services organizations in enterprise software industries. Prior to joining Trigence, Hamilton was at Softricity, Inc. (recently acquired by Microsoft) where he was Vice President, Worldwide Sales, responsible for national and international sales, channels and customer technical services.

Prior to joining Softricity, he served as Vice President of North American Sales for Phase Forward, Inc., where he was responsible for sales and revenue for North America.

Previously, he was Executive Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Services, at Concord Communications, where he led global sales and technical services including professional and educational services, customer support, licensing and maintenance renewals. Hamilton also held the positions of Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Vice President of North American Sales at Concord.

Earlier in his career, Hamilton worked in various executive sales management positions at FTP Software, EMC, Stratus Computer and IBM.

“This is a very exciting time for Trigence,” said Hamilton. “My goal is to see Trigence fulfill its potential by radically simplifying the complexity and effort required for companies to manage applications.  By offering organizations a new approach to application management, Trigence enables them to migrate legacy applications onto newer, more cost-effective hardware and operating systems -- which in the past was nearly impossible.”
