Neoware First Leading Provider to Market With Availability of Citrix Systems' Latest ICA Client
Neoware, Inc., a leading provider of thin client computing solutions, today announced the immediate availability of Citrix ICA client, version 10, for users of Neoware thin client devices using the Microsoft(r) Windows(r) XPe operating system. The announcement, which supports a broader Neoware initiative to drive the evolution of thin client computing, gives Neoware users access to Citrix's most advanced and feature-rich Independent Computing Architecture (ICA). The Citrix ICA 10 client from Neoware is available for download to Neoware ezRemote Manager immediately.

With this announcement, Neoware is the first leading thin client provider to offer availability of Citrix ICA 10, giving its customers the fastest access to this technology. Recently released by Citrix Systems, Inc., ICA 10 includes compatibility with the Citrix streaming product, Citrix Streaming Client (formerly known as Citrix Tarpon). ICA 10 is also optimized to run with Citrix Presentation Server 4.5.

"As the first to market with Citrix ICA 10 availability, Neoware has beaten competitors to the punch while demonstrating our commitment and ability to develop and deliver solutions quickly," said Bill Bredbenner, vice president of Product Management at Neoware. "The thin client market is moving at a rapid pace and it's critical that we deliver the latest available technologies to our customers as quickly as possible. With this announcement Neoware is delivering on this promise and is again illustrating its commitment to leading the thin client computing evolution."

Citrix ICA client 10 also includes a new security feature, Trusted Server Configuration, which is designed to identify and enforce trust relations involved in client connections. This relationship increases the confidence of client administrators and users in the integrity of data on client devices and prevents the malicious use of client connections.

Other features included in ICA 10 include:

-- Support for the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES)
-- Support of SpeedScreen Multimedia Acceleration
-- Enhanced proxy detection support that automatically detects a
proxy server, eliminating the need for manual configuration

The Citrix ICA 10 client also includes a new version of Program Neighborhood Agent (PNAgent) that includes:

-- 32-bit color icon support that automatically selects the color
depth for applications in the Program Neighborhood Connection
    Center
-- PNAgent backup URL support that allows administrators to specify
backup URLs for PNAgent in their Web Interface configurations
-- PNAgent support through the Access Gateway

The Citrix ICA 10 client is available for download from Neoware immediately via www.neoware.com. The new client will also be included in the first general release of Neoware's newest management software, Neoware Device Manager, which will be available later this month.
