3Leaf Systems Joins IBM BladeCenter Alliance Program
3Leaf Systems (www.3leafsystems.com), a provider of next-generation virtualization solutions for enterprise data centers, today announced that it has joined the IBM BladeCenter Alliance Program. This confirms the interoperability of the 3Leaf V-8000 Virtual I/O Server solution with the IBM BladeCenter servers.

We're happy to have 3Leaf join Blade.org and the BladeCenter Alliance Program. 3Leaf is coming to market with virtualization solutions that take industry-standard server virtualization to the next level, while easily adapting into existing data center infrastructures, said Dr. Tom Bradicich, IBM fellow and vice president, Systems Technology, for the System x and BladeCenter products. Coupled with BladeCenter, 3Leafs leading-edge solutions will help enterprises increase their resource utilization, simplify management of their IT environments, and preserve their investments.

We have worked closely with IBM to fully test our server virtualization solution in IBM environments, said Bob Quinn, chief executive officer of 3Leaf Systems. It is important for our customers to deploy a solution that is compatible with their heterogeneous environments, and this new relationship with IBM proves once more our commitment to delivering highly flexible server virtualization solutions for todays multi-vendor data centers.

The 3Leaf V-8000 virtualizes the I/O for a pool of commodity servers, maximizing server resource utilization and scalability while speeding up the deployment and provisioning of new servers. The highly available server virtualization solution centralizes management while significantly reducing both capital and operating costs.

The IBM BladeCenter Alliance Program provides participating independent software and hardware vendors with enablement, marketing and sales benefits that are specific to the IBM BladeCenter platform. Hardware and software vendors that join the BladeCenter Alliance Program can leverage IBM's experience and extensive technology relationships.
