Attendees at next week
’s Foreword Financial Expo will have the opportunity to hear Secuware, a leading provider of Windows
® enterprise security, discuss the latest developments in secure access control. Feliciano Rivera, Secuware
’s executive vice president and general manager, will discuss virtualization and security at 1:00 p.m. on September 7 in the
“The Future of Access Control?
” panel.
Joining Rivera on the panel will be a senior information security executive at a major U.S. banking institution who will speak on the role of biometrics in access control within the financial services industry. Bethany Bryant, co-founder and chief financial officer with The Private Trust Company, will moderate the discussion.
Rivera will present a new approach to client-side secure virtualization. “I will be presenting new ideas on how virtualization technology can be harnessed to provide data protection for financial institutions, simplifying and securing access controls. Particular focus will be on OS-independent approaches that can be applied to any Internet-enabled application, or any application that must be operated in isolation to preserve security and compliance requirements.
“A major European bank is already running a prototypical system based around this approach, as are several European government departments that handle particularly sensitive information. I look forward to discussing this exciting new technology with show attendees.”
Rivera will be available immediately after the presentation for additional questions. Members of the media may arrange briefings or interviews through Julie Parayno, Dovetail Public Relations, +1-408-395-3600 or secuware @ dovetailpr.com.
