News coming from Reuters says that EMC Corp is working on security products that would work with VMware software according to EMC Executive Vice President Arthur Coviello.

Coviello, who is president of EMC's RSA security business, told a Citi technology conference that his company is working on such products with VMware, an affiliate of EMC that went public last month.

He said it is too early to make any product announcements, but added: "We think there is a tremendous opportunity going forward."

Coviello said RSA is "working with VMware to create virtual security layers for whatever images you are trying to access in a virtual environment."
