Liquid Computing Supports Oracle VM
Liquid Computing, Inc., the developer of LiquidIQ, the industry-leading fabric computing system, today announced its support for Oracles new virtualization offering Oracle® VM. Oracle VM is server virtualization software which fully supports both Oracle and non-Oracle applications. Liquid has been working with Oracle to optimize the performance, security and management of Oracle VM on the LiquidIQ platform. LiquidIQ provides a flexible and high availability platform layer under Oracle VM to provide a truly dynamic virtualized environment. LiquidIQ provides the software definition of server, networking and IO pipes to manage all of the traditional compute components. This capability allows Oracle customers to provide greater service agility and IT management of the servers and infrastructure running Oracle application stacks deployed on Oracle VM.

Oracle is excited to have Liquid Computing as part of the Oracle VM launch. Oracle VM is the latest addition in Oracles strategy to provide a complete and optimized application stack for Oracle customers. LiquidIQ's fabric-based computing architecture provides distinct advantages to our customers when coupled with Oracle VM, said Monica Kumar, senior director, Linux and Open Source Product Marketing, Oracle.

A member of the Oracle PartnerNetwork, LiquidIQ is a leading product in a new segment of IT infrastructure being tracked by Gartner as Fabric Based Computing. Gartner refers to Fabric computing as one of the top 10 technologies that DataCenter executives need to be tracking and include in their IT strategic plans.

Liquid Computings relationship with Oracle is great news for our joint customers. The high costs and inflexibilities associated with traditional data center infrastructure is causing a lot pain in todays IT infrastructures. The new generation data center will need fabric based computing coupled with hypervisor technologies. Together, Oracle VM and LiquidIQ provide a complementary solution, says Brian Hurley, CEO of Liquid Computing.

Liquid Computing is demonstrating Oracle VM in the AMD demo center at Oracle OpenWorld, in booth 1614.
