After exhaustive technical development and a six-month pilot program, Missing Link Technology proudly announces availability of their new instructor-led virtual classroom. Students are taught by professional educators led by Randy Morgan, EdD, MBA who has over 20 years of teaching experience, is a Microsoft Certified Trainer and holds numerous Microsoft Certified Professional accreditations. Classes are available for Microsoft Dynamics
TM AX 4.0, Connectelligence
TM and AnalyzeOnDemand. The instructor-led virtual classroom is in addition to Missing Link
’s traditional brick-and-mortar classroom training offered at their facility in Austin, TX, or at customer
’s facilities.
The productivity benefits achieved by well-trained employees are widely accepted, yet many companies find it difficult to justify the expense and productivity loss incurred when sending employees to training classes. Self-paced web training has been an option for several years but students are often frustrated by the inability to converse with knowledgeable instructors for clarification or address material not directly covered by the program. Instructor-led virtual classrooms are an excellent alternative, providing students with live facilitation from any computer connected to the internet.
Missing Link Technology’s classes are taught two (2) to three (3) hours per day, providing ample time for students to address the most important of their normal daily tasks. Because each student is provided with a dedicated virtual machine for the duration of the class, exercises can be performed at their leisure. All Missing Link classes also include “supervised study” hours where an instructor is virtually available for one-on-one time to assist students. An additional benefit is student’s access to their virtual machine seven (7) days prior to the beginning of the class and two (2) days after the conclusion, providing them with extra time to practice the skills taught in the course.
“As an instructor for over 20 years, I’ve participated in numerous teaching methodologies, and am very excited to offer instructor-led virtual training,” said Dr. Morgan. “The shorter class days help students stay fresh, while the multiple day formats provide ample opportunity for reinforcement of key concepts, and students are more attentive because they know there will be plenty of time to take care of their other work and personal obligations later.”
As further validation of the potential benefits of Missing Link’s education methodology, they were awarded a Learning Competency in Microsoft’s partner program. Microsoft grants this prestigious status exclusively to organizations with verifiable customer satisfaction ratings and adequate numbers of certified professionals on staff. This also means all of their Microsoft Business Solution classes utilize Microsoft courseware. Because Missing Link also holds an ISV Competency with their Connectelligence suite, the Learning Competency elevated their status from Certified to Gold Certified in Microsoft’s program. On their website, Microsoft says this about Gold Certified Partners: “Gold Certified Partners represent the highest level of competence and expertise with Microsoft technologies, and have the closest working relationship with Microsoft.”
