OnPATH Technologies, the leading provider of physical layer switches that automate connectivity and help organizations to simplify and virtualize their physical layer infrastructure to improve the availability, manageability, and performance of their IT environments, announced it has moved into their new headquarters in Marlton. OnPATH is quickly establishing itself as a national leader in virtualized infrastructure layer (VIL) connectivity, and the company

’ growing need for data center cost management, productivity and efficiency.
New Headquarters are a Strategic Investment in the Company’s Future
The move coincides with OnPATH’s plans for significant product enhancements in 2008 that will add to the company’s robust suite of physical layer switch and automation software solutions, according to Peter Dougherty, president and CEO of OnPATH Technologies. More than one-third of the Fortune 100, as well as some of the nation’s leading federal and state government agencies already utilize the company’s technology.
OnPATH’s new 15,000 square foot facility is strategically located in Southern New Jersey in a highly accessible location rapidly becoming a hub for the state’s leading technology players. The building includes management team, sales and administration offices, a state-of-the-art engineering and operations lab and client demonstration area and a dedicated customer training facilities.
“The need for physical layer security, automation and virtualization in data centers has never been greater given the global economic climate, the proliferation of more complex, decentralized business models and other key market trends. OnPATH’s decision to invest in a new facility was a direct response to this combination of conditions,” said Dougherty. “The demand for our products has been historically solid, and our new headquarters continues to equip us with the ability to deliver outstanding technology solutions for our current and future customers—locally or globally.”
OnPATH Committed to Doing Business in New Jersey
OnPATH has made a conscientious decision to use local—rather than outsourced—contract manufacturers for surface mount technology assembly and sub-assembly work, with OnPATH performing the final equipment building and testing in Marlton. Firms such as SWEMCO, P&M Industries and CDM Electronics (all based in the greater Cherry Hill, NJ area) are among the company’s locally based manufacturing and technology partners. An additional benefit of working with this strong and growing network of southern New Jersey manufacturing and technology organizations is that OnPATH has the functionality of a much larger organization, but is more nimble and more flexible when it comes to meeting customers’ needs.
“We are strong advocates for supporting the local economy of our headquarters’ region whenever we can,” said Dougherty. “It makes good business sense. We have a very efficient business model that demands a tightly integrated supply chain with contract manufacturers in close proximity to our headquarters, where engineering, manufacturing, and testing takes place; as regular communication and quality assurance are essential.”
