SkyRecon's StormShield Endpoint Protection Secures Virtual Endpoints
SkyRecon Systems, the premier provider of integrated, proactive endpoint security solutions, today announced that it has joined VMware's highly regarded Technology Alliance Program (TAP). SkyRecon's involvement in TAP brings to bear its StormShield Unified Client Security solution, the first proactive, multi-layer, real-time defense system for network endpoints residing in and connecting to the increasingly prevalent number of virtual IT environments.

StormShield addresses each critical aspect of endpoint protection, from intrusion prevention to application and device control, to content encryption, all through a single lightweight agent. StormShield offers flexibility and true enterprise integration, making it an ideal component in any comprehensive approach to protecting physical and virtual enterprise endpoints, including mobile devices that are routinely taken beyond the physical perimeter of an organization and therefore introduce a greater risk of data leakage. An organization's IT security policy can no longer be restricted to the physical perimeter and the physical devices that comprise the perimeter, but must also consider the virtual perimeter and the virtual computing environment -- encompassing the mobile workforce, virtual servers, and increased access to sensitive business data.

"SkyRecon's involvement in VMware's TAP program will be of great benefit to IT departments seeking an endpoint security solution to support their overall security initiatives," said Sean Martin, CISSP, Vice President, Marketing for SkyRecon. "The partnership raises the awareness of StormShield's endpoint protection capabilities for protecting the virtual environments and the sensitive data that they host -- including the virtual images themselves."
