Tool: Terminal Services Log

Frane Borozan, the person who brought us p2vbackup, is at it again.  This time, he has created a tool called Terminal Services Log that provides the exact information for your users activity on terminal servers.  It shows the user total connection time on the server, and how much of that time was actually idle or how much was in use while the user was actually doing something.

Main features of terminal services log:
Connection start (date and hour)
User
Duration
Total time connected
IDLE time
Active time
Disconnected session time
Connection end (date and hour)
Status

Reports are available also as summary by each date.
Summaries consist of:
Times logged in
First log in
last log out
Total time on server
Total time idle
Total time disconnected

Ideal Uses for Terminal Services Log
* Terminal Services Log allows you to have overview how much your users are effective while on work
* It will give you summary view per day into users activity unlike terminal services manager that monitors only one state
* You have reasonable doubt that you users are not working while you are away from location
* Eliminate the need to sort through event logs and audit trails
* Terminal Services Session Directory logging service just provides log on and log out time, and you need to have server farm for that
* Provides you evidence in user activity time when user denies non working activity

You can download the product and find out more information, here.
