xkoto Highlights the Benefits of Data Virtualization at Major Industry Events
xkoto, the data virtualization company, announced its participation in several upcoming industry events, beginning today with IDUG North America. xkotos presence at these events brings to the forefront how leading IT organizations are taking advantage of new data virtualization technology to eliminate database downtime, increase application performance and more quickly adapt to business change.

In addition to its presence at IDUG North America, IT professionals can hear more about data virtualization at other upcoming industry events. During the week of June 3, 2008, xkoto will be at IBM Information on Demand Europe, at the World Forum, The Hague. Representatives will be present at booth #20, and xkoto customers InGrid, Inc. and Jumbo Tours will be featured in "Availability Options," a presentation on Thursday, June 5 at 10:00 A.M. by IBM DB2 evangelist Dwaine Snow. Snow will discuss DB2 availability technologies and how GRIDSCALE can be used to eliminate database downtime.

xkoto will also be at Microsofts Tech-Ed IT Professionals conference June 9-13, 2008, in booth #1030. At this event, the company will offer a sneak peek at GRIDSCALE for SQL Server, which is scheduled to be announced in September.

Additionally, Albert Lee, xkoto co-founder and chief strategy officer will participate on the Virtualization 2.0 panel at the Next Generation Data Center Conference at the Moscone Center in San Francisco in August. The session will provide attendees with a better understanding of where virtualization is headed and how it will be used to enable applications rather than being used solely for server consolidation.

Additional event details can be found on http://www.xkoto.com/events.

In addition to these events, GRIDSCALE has been nominated for SYS-CONs first annual Virtualization Journal Readers Choice Awards. Virtualization awards will be given in 17 categories and award-winning products and services will be selected by Virtualization Journal readers.
