Certeon, the industry
’s first vendor to offer a virtualized appliance for application acceleration, today announced that its Chief Technology Officer, Donato Buccella, will speak at the Virtualization Conference and Expo on Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. in New York City.
The Virtualization Conference and Expo, currently in its third year, is the leading event for the booming market of virtualization and virtualization solutions for the enterprise. The conference is the educational and networking opportunity of the year for leading virtualization technology providers.
Mr. Buccella will discuss the role of a virtual appliance in reducing application response time to remote users over the WAN, and how distributed enterprises deploying virtualization to remote offices can deliver “application acceleration as a service.”
In May 2008, Certeon announced the end of the era of proprietary application acceleration appliances with the launch of the industry’s first and only true virtual appliance for application acceleration. Certeon’s aCelera™ Virtual Appliance software delivers up to a 95% reduction in application response time for applications being accessed across the WAN with the added benefit of eliminating the hardware footprint and high cost of separately managed, single-purpose hardware appliances.
