VKernel Names Dan Kelly Chief Financial Officer

VKernel Corporation, a provider of easy-to-use and quick-to-deploy virtual appliances for managing virtual server environments, today announced the appointment of Dan Kelly as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). In this role, Kelly is responsible for VKernel’s worldwide financial strategy and execution.  

"Dan brings a tremendous amount of financial experience in technology market to VKernel, which will be extremely helpful as we establish a strong, scalable business with great long-term prospects," said Alex Bakman, founder and CEO of VKernel. "His hands-on experience working in high technology start-up environments makes him uniquely qualified to help VKernel rapidly expand our leadership role in the virtualization systems management market."

Kelly brings more than 20 years of financial management experience with software and services organizations to VKernel. Previously, he was CFO of geoVue, a provider of dynamic location optimization software. Prior to that position, Kelly held CFO positions at Ecora Software and Scribe Software. He also has Big Four accounting experience and earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Notre Dame.

VKernel is currently offering a Chargeback Virtual Appliance for gaining cost visibility and implementing chargeback, and a Capacity Bottleneck Analyzer Virtual Appliance for identifying and eliminating capacity bottlenecks.
