Configuresoft and VMware Host "Proving PCI DSS Compliance in a Virtualized Environment" Webcast
Configuresoft, the world's leading enterprise configuration management company, today announced that Configuresoft, VMware and the PCI Knowledge Base will be presenting a webinar titled Proving PCI DSS Compliance in a Virtualized Environment on Wednesday, August 20th. As the adoption of virtualization technology accelerates in the datacenter, a high level of uncertainty remains on how to implement PCI security controls and how assessors measure the implementation of these controls in a virtualized environment. Many organizations have limited deployment because of concerns over proving that virtualized environments are compliant and audit ready. With PCI version 1.2 set to release in early October and the PCI Security Standards Council's decision to postpone the Virtualization Special Interest Group (SIG), industry guidance on how to meet PCI DSS compliance audits in virtualized environments is not widely available.
