Vizioncore Inc., the market leader in server virtualization management, showcased a broad range of innovative new products and solutions at VMworld 2008 in Las Vegas. This set included new and improved virtualization management technologies for backup and recovery, continuous data protection, monitoring, virtual machine lifecycle management & automation, and storage optimization. Vizioncore was also named as finalist in the New Technology Category of the Best of VMworld Awards 2008 for vOptimizer Pro.

Over 14,000 people visited the virtualization industry’s leading event, which Vizioncore attended as a Gold level sponsor for the fourth consecutive year. “This year’s show was incredibly exciting, both from an industry standpoint and also for Vizioncore in particular,” said Chris Akerberg, President and Chief Operating Officer of Vizioncore. “The overwhelming theme of the show was how virtualization is now broadly recognized as the accepted way of architecting the datacenter, while there was a strong focus on how virtualization makes disaster recovery simple for customers, which is what Vizioncore has been providing since 2005. Vizioncore unveiled several new products at VMworld 2008 for the first time:

• vRanger 4.0 - The latest version of Vizioncore’s industry-leading backup and restore solution, providing superior performance, scalability and flexibility to customers
• vFoglight (formerly vCharter Pro) - Vizioncore’s enterprise-class monitoring solution, providing monitoring across virtualization and application layers
• vAutomation Suite - Vizioncore announced the industry’s first comprehensive workflow, policy and lifecycle management suite for multiple platforms
• vOptimizer Pro - Vizioncore announced another industry first with vOptimizer Pro, a virtual server optimization and storage reclamation technology for VMware that allows customers to fully automate the process of up and downsizing VMDKs and Windows partitions to reduce enterprise storage costs
• vConverter 4.0 - Automates and accelerates virtual machine conversions to Microsoft, Virtual Iron, VMware and XenServer environments, allowing customers to migrate workloads between platforms as part of scheduled migration projects or for disaster recovery purposes
