NetIQ Corporation, an Attachmate business, today announced that Presidio
Managed Networks has chosen to standardize on NetIQ technology to
dramatically enhance the fail-safe delivery of its Sentry
™
Managed Services. By eliminating disparate tools in favor of a cohesive
and highly-scalable management platform, Presidio Managed Networks will
have greater capacity to support rapid customer acquisition, enhance its
service catalog and ensure service performance.
Presidio Managed Networks, a unit of Presidio Networked Solutions Inc.,
supports enterprise, commercial and government entities with an array of
managed and hosted solutions. The organization needed a management
platform for monitoring the performance and availability of
infrastructure components and applications, such as VoIP platforms,
network devices, Microsoft applications (Microsoft Exchange Server, SQL
Server and Active Directory), VMware and other industry-leading
technologies underpinning these services. Additionally, it needed to
automate the collection of service metrics for comprehensive reporting
against IT operations’ objectives and client
service level agreements.
