Virtual Iron Software (
www.virtualiron.com), a provider of enterprise-class server virtualization and virtual infrastructure management software, today announced record growth, for the second consecutive quarter, citing a 65% increase in revenues from the fourth quarter of 2007 as compared to revenues in the same period in 2008.
"For the second quarter in a row Virtual Iron delivered record-breaking revenue growth despite the recession affecting all sectors of the economy," said Ed Walsh, CEO of Virtual Iron. "Server virtualization is a technology that provides immediate and demonstrable cost savings. However the Virtual Iron solution does that without a high price tag; a lengthy implementation process, or the costly maintenance associated with competitors' products. That we achieved this strong sequential growth against the backdrop of such a challenging global economy is testimony to the strength of our product offering for the small-medium enterprise market."
Bill Simpson, Vice President of Global Channel Sales at Virtual Iron, stated, "The fourth quarter also reflects especially strong traction by our channel partners among government accounts. We experienced a 24% increase in sales to the federal/state/local government market from the third to the fourth quarter of last year. We are also continuing to see solid growth among our traditional markets such as education, legal, healthcare, non-profits, retail and regional banks/insurance companies."
"It's all about containing costs while getting the job done. Virtual Iron allows us to avoid the bottomless pit of upgrading and maintaining multiple pieces of hardware, while improving the way the firm runs," stated Mike Ferguson, Director of Information Technology, at Berman, Rennert, Vogel & Mandler, a Miami, Florida, law firm specializing in general business and commercial law.
Ferguson further stated, "We didn't implement VMware because it was too costly. Virtual Iron is more intuitive, easy-to-use, and a lot less expensive than VMware. Plus, Virtual Iron offers a rich set of features at a single, easy-to-understand price. We didn't need to pay anything extra to get all the functionality we required."
