Integrien Issued Foundational Patent for Real-Time Performance Analytics Approach
Integrien Corporation, the leader in real-time performance analytics, today announced it has received its first patent for an overall approach to proactive performance management of mission critical applications and services. This patent validates Integrien’s unique approach to predicting performance and availability problems in IT systems. With this patent, and the 12 additional patent applications it has currently filed, Integrien has defined a revolutionary, learning-based approach and mathematical foundation for analyzing and managing IT performance.

The patent for a Self-learning, Performance Management System and Related Methods (United States Patent 7,467,067) describes an approach to IT performance management that predicts abnormalities in complex services before they occur, even on the first occurrence. This new approach is already available in Integrien’s flagship product, Alive™, which has provided customers with 1.5-3 hours “heads up” to problems in their mission critical applications, while reducing Operations costs by as much as 60%.

“We’re excited to receive this first patent because it is clear validation that our approach to proactive performance management is unique,” said Dr. Mazda Marvasti, CTO of Integrien. “Our use of real-time analytics to predict performance problems before they occur takes IT Operations out of their current reactive posture while considerably reducing labor costs through automation. Since this is an umbrella patent within which the rest of our patent applications fall, we fully expect the supporting patents to be granted expeditiously.”
