Devon IT Leverages Strategic Relationship with Tech Data Corporation to Extend Thin Client Solutions to Businesses of All Sizes
Devon IT, a fast-emerging provider of thin client hardware and software, today announced that Tech Data U.S. will distribute the complete line of Devon IT thin client terminals. Tech Data will offer Devon IT products to its tens of thousands of value-added reseller customers nationwide. Tech Data distributes a broad line of client and hosted client products in addition to the Devon IT line of thin clients, providing resellers with a complete alternative desktop offering.

Thin clients provide more secure access to the network and greatly enhanced efficiencies compared to managing traditional desktops and notebooks across an entire enterprise.”

Devon IT thin clients drive hosted and virtual desktop solutions on IBM, Lenovo, Dell and HP servers. Devon IT is a strategic IBM business partner and provides a variety of programs to help its channel partners grow their businesses, including the Devon Authorized Business Partner, which offers volume discounts and the ability for resellers to market hosted desktop solutions their customers based on the Devon IT thin client platform. By partnering with Tech Data and its dedicated Business Unit, Devon IT will increase engagement, support and education for its reseller community.

Resellers that are a part of Devon's Authorized Business Partner Program are eligible for a variety of sales, marketing and support programs including:

  • Thin clients for demo use (TC2, TC5, visit www.devonit.com)
  • Co-marketing programs
  • Sales training
  • Technical staff training
  • Access to bundles and promotional pricing of Devon IT products as they become available.
  • Compensation for sales to BPICs and BSSCs direct from Devon IT
  • Other benefits related to Devon IT Partner Program

Tech Data’s reseller customers operate across all key verticals, including markets with significant growth opportunities for thin clients such as healthcare, education, retail, and financial services.
