Vizioncore Inc., the market leader in server virtualization management, today provided visitors to VMworld Europe 2009 with a preview of its latest virtual machine (VM) automation console, vControl, and demonstrations of Vizioncore's complete product set including a preview of the next generation of Vizioncore vRanger Pro, code-named project Woodstock. Also on show is the recently announced vFoglight Pro and further details around the brand new Virtualization EcoShell Initiative (VESI), a community driven development program sponsored by Vizioncore. Visit Vizioncore at Booth 106, between February 24-26 to see its full range of products on display.
vControl is a VM management solution that provides self-service provisioning, multi-VM control and task-based automation. vControl lets VM consumers build and deploy VMs for themselves while providing administrators a single interface for task-based administration of VMs. Furthermore, vControl allows organizations to automate manual and repetitive tasks, helping to reduce VM administration costs, improve management consistency and enable a most cost-effective solution for high availability in the data center. Working across multiple platforms, including VMware ESX/ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V, and Citrix XenServer, vControl gives administrators the power to manage single or multiple VMs, one-by-one or simultaneously, and to implement pre-configured or self-built workflows and scripts to aid automation.
Also on-site at the Vizioncore booth will be live demonstrations of project Woodstock, the latest iteration of vRanger Pro. Woodstock is the next generation for virtual backup and recovery featuring unique capabilities with unparalleled performance and scalability. Featuring a redesigned engine, Woodstock will allow customers to reduce the overall backup window with faster speeds and more intelligent backups, including incremental backups. In addition to the existing vRanger Pro features, Woodstock will offer direct-to-target backups, PowerShell access, SQL support, instant file level restore, and more. Existing and new vRanger Pro customers will be able to upgrade to Woodstock at no additional costs.
Vizioncore's Scott Herold will also be on-site to talk further about VESI, an initiative launched at VMworld Europe 2009. VESI is a freeware development program that aims to enhance the virtualization administrative experience by extending virtualization management capabilities through a graphical scripting engine. Based on Quest Software's award-winning PowerGUI, VESI draws on the combined development skills and experience of the virtualization community to build a fully customized graphical interface that can provide management functionalities within a Windows PowerShell scripting environment.
"VMworld has become a regular and very important fixture on our events calendar, and the European edition gives us a fantastic opportunity to get out there and meet the end-user community face-to-face in a region that has seen fantastic growth," said Roger Baskerville, VP EMEA, Vizioncore. "This year we have many exciting new products and initiatives to demonstrate and discuss, with the overall focus on providing a more automated approach across multiple platforms and with an even greater granularity. Customers are demanding solutions that give them the power to take control of their systems through self-development and increased functionality. We invite all attendees to come and discuss these topics with us on-site and to see how Vizioncore can help them meet the new demands of business."
Other products Vizioncore will showcase at the event:
vFoglight: The only virtualization monitoring solution that enables administrators to understand the complex relationships and interactions between all the components within a virtual infrastructure, vFoglight is now offered in two editions, Standard (SE) and Pro. These editions allow users to match the features to the requirements and complexity of their virtual environments to detect, diagnose and resolve incidents and problems; ensure performance; and perform capacity planning and chargeback.
vConverter 4.1: The latest version of Vizioncore's successful conversion product features synchronized cutover, continuous protection and automated remote cold migration. These new features combine to produce the best feature-to-cost conversion tool available, bringing enterprise functionality to the wider market.
vOptimizer Pro: Enabling the reclamation of space taken on ESX Server datastores, vOptimizer Pro automates the periodic resizing of Windows-based virtual machines while improving VM performance through proper partition alignment. This results in cost savings across the board including reduced maintenance overheads and dramatically reduced storage requirements.
Vizioncore is also pleased to announce its YOUR vEssentials promotion, providing a new, flexible program that offers the opportunity to buy any three Vizioncore products for the reduced price of US$899, a savings of up to 40%.
