Tek-Tools Software, a leading provider of IT resource management software solutions, today announced that the close of the first quarter of 2009 marks another record quarter for the company with an increase in revenue of 45 percent over the first quarter of 2008. Additionally in the first quarter, more than 35 new customers selected the Tek-Tools Profiler Suite for their IT resource management needs – that’s 46 percent more than in the same quarter the previous year – while existing customers expanded their installations, primarily driven by the need for better visibility into virtualized environments, proving that IT resource management continues to yield high value in the enterprise.
Profiler expands capabilities in virtualization, storage and data protection
Rapid adoption of virtualization technologies in the enterprise continues to drive ever greater need for IT resource management solutions that can monitor and report on both virtualized and physical IT assets. In February, the company launched the newest version of Profiler, expanding its support for virtualization with enhancements to Profiler for VMware and a new storage virtualization module, Profiler for IBM SVC, to support the leading network-based storage virtualization solution. Additionally, Tek-Tools added a new storage module, Profiler for EqualLogic and new application support, Profiler for Exchange 2007. Profiler is a critical source of comprehensive real-time and historical information about IT resources, performance and capacity utilization enabling more informed IT decision making. Tek-Tools has always focused heavily on development of the Profiler Suite, progressively expanding its capabilities to stay a step ahead of enterprise requirements to manage both virtualized and physical IT assets.
Profiler strong in the channel
Tek-Tools maintains strong relationships with channel partners including LSI, GlassHouse, Mainline, and Dell. In this first quarter of 2009, partner revenue increased 70 percent over the same period in 2008. Leading channel partners choose Tek-Tools because of its commitment to comprehensive heterogeneous reporting and monitoring solutions for both physical and virtualized IT resources.
“Maximizing existing assets continues to be a common theme across businesses of every size and in every market. Thus the rapid adoption of virtualization technologies,” said Tek-Tools President and CEO Ken Barth. “However, in doing so, a significant management challenge is created by the complexity virtualization adds. With Profiler’s ability to monitor and report on both physical and virtualized resources and the end-to-end views of the data path it delivers, the solution takes the guesswork out of critical IT decision making processes. IT managers have the information they need to determine where more value can be squeezed out of an existing asset and where investment in the infrastructure may be the best strategic decision.”
