Wyse Technology Wins 'Best Device Virtualization' Award
Wyse Technology, the global leader in thin computing and client virtualization, today announced that SYS-CON Virtualization Journal Readers' Choice Awards (RCA) chose Wyse's virtualization software, the TCX Suite, as its "Best Device Virtualization" winner. Known as the 'Oscars of the Software Industry,' RCA has been one of the most prestigious award programs for over a decade.

The Virtualization Journal Readers' Choice Awards recognize the best tools, solutions, and platform offerings in 18 categories. Wyse was selected through reader-submitted nominations, followed by online voting at SYS-CON Media's leading Virtualization Journal web site in the "Best Device Virtualization" category. Wyse was in great company, beating out Hewlett-Packard, Cisco and IBM. Wyse's TCX Suite won due to the true vote of confidence by its peers and customers, as well as the unique advanced virtual functionality of the solution. Developed with the end-user experience in mind, the TCX Suite, including Multimedia, Multi-display, USB Virtualizer and Rich Sound provide users with the best virtual client experience, while reducing load on the network and virtual server infrastructure. TCX adds key features to both Microsoft RDP and Citrix ICA / HDX technologies. For more information on Wyse TCX, please visit http://www.wyse.com/products/software/tcx/index.asp.

Wyse also displayed virtualization superiority with its Viance Desktop Appliance as a finalist in the "Best VDI - Virtual Desktop Infrastructure" category. Specifically created for Citrix XenDesktop and with knowledge workers in mind, the Wyse Viance high-performance desktop appliances are designed to both maximize the user experience and minimize administration across a virtualized infrastructure. "Wyse is thrilled to receive multiple Virtualization Journal Readers' Choice Awards," said Jeff McNaught, Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer at Wyse. "It's important to us not only to have industry leading solutions, but to be acknowledged by our customers as the best. Our global research and development teams, as well as our product teams definitely deserve this recognition."

The Regional Transportation District (RTD) of Denver supports the significance of Wyse's TCX Suite. "We had one very significant goal: to simplify our PC operations," said Trent Ratcliff, IT Infrastructure Manager at RTD. "Thin client computing was an obvious candidate for us, but we had strict requirements with respect to USB usage and multi-display capabilities. At the end of the day, the Wyse V10L with TCX was the only solution that gave us all the benefits of thin client computing, while still meeting our needs on the application and multimedia side."
