InstallFree, Inc., developer of platform
application virtualization solutions for enterprise
desktop environments, and Technology Integration Group (TIG)
, an award-winning IT systems integrator with 28 years of experience, today announced a partnership in which the companies will provide IT consultative and implementation services for application virtualization initiatives. InstallFree’s application and desktop virtualization solutions will be offered by TIG as part of its IT solutions and services to customers nationwide.
The companies also announced a successful implementation for the Peach County Schools’ IT services group. The district-wide strategic program provides InstallFree application virtualization of student educational software with central distribution and management of nearly 2000 endpoints. The rollout provides applications to 18 computing labs with a 3:1 ratio of K-12 students, instructors and administrators per application. Users have access to applications on laptops no matter which of the 18 lab locations they use. The mobility provides access to computer-based education and training for all schools to deliver uniformly high standards of technical knowledge across the district.
“InstallFree is changing the fundamental economics of mobile computing, providing the security and management benefits of locked-down PCs, without sacrificing user autonomy and mobility,” said Yori Gabay, CEO at InstallFree. “The economy of central distribution and application management for mobile access, with both offline and online PC configuration management, is a powerful innovation for customers. Our partnership with TIG, a leading diversity supplier to organizations nationwide, can deliver advanced IT implementations with tremendous IT cost benefits, which is why we select high value systems integrators with deep reach and established capabilities in markets with historically limited IT budgets. We are proud to have the most advanced technology to provide these customers with the right virtualization solution for efficiency, economy and productivity.”
The innovative program was a strategic implementation developed by Charlie Waters, Director of Technology of Peach County Schools and Dr. Susan Clark, Superintendent of Schools for Peach County, who shared the vision for raising the level of educational technology to provide mobility and access across the district. “We knew that any gap in access would be a disadvantage for students and teachers, and went to work on the virtualization scenario to provide even use of resources,” said Waters. “The strategic value of TIG in the planned implementation was a perfect fit, helping to realize our vision. They delivered far more than mere RFP promise, and we have a progressive and cost-effective educational tool for our students.”
“TIG is proud to be part of this implementation at Peach County schools. The partnership with InstallFree enhances Tag’s ability to deliver virtual application distribution to a wide range of customers using next generation virtualization technology,” said Jim Hindy, TIG Atlanta Branch Manager. “As a leading system integrator, TIG is poised to provide our customers with the highest level of innovative virtualization infrastructure knowledge and expertise.”
