Surgient Expert to Discuss Importance of Self-Service IT at Next Data Center Summit

Surgient, the leader in self-service data center enablement, today announced that Vice President of Services and Support Brian Wilson will present at the Next Data Center (NDC) summit, taking place in Dallas on June 25, 2009. Conference Director Paul Gillin will interview Wilson on the growing need for self-service in all areas of IT, from virtualization deployments to cloud computing initiatives.

Wilson will offer his view on how self-service, a critical element of the modern dynamic data center, can drive substantial capital and operating savings in addition to the benefits of virtualization. His insight is based on the success of Surgient’s solutions, which capitalize on virtualization to streamline IT service delivery. The session will discuss the core technology and business requirements necessary to implement a self-service model, as well as how organizations can apply self-service across a variety of use cases in the global enterprise to drive significant IT savings and increased business agility.

About the Speaker

With more than 16 years of experience, Wilson is responsible for customer success, from initial services engagement and deployment, to ongoing customer support. Spanning both onsite client deployments and hosted engagements, his teams deliver service and support offerings for the full suite of Surgient products. Wilson has a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Texas and a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Alabama at Huntsville.
