Quest Software Spans the Globe with 24-Hour Virtual Trade Show
Quest Software, Inc. today announced details of its second annual virtual trade show, Quest Connect 2009. The event will run for 24 hours as it circles the globe, kicking off in Europe at 08:00 GMT (4 a.m. EDT) October 21. The show will offer a variety of content, including webcasts with Q&A, white papers, product demonstrations, expert speakers, and peer-to-peer networking opportunities. Quest executives Doug Garn, president and CEO, and Carol Fawcett, vice president of Information Systems, will deliver the keynote address opening day (03:00 GMT, 11 a.m. EDT), with the focus on managing virtual environments. Garn also will serve as “virtual host” of the event, welcoming all attendees via video.

“Quest Connect 2008 was such a success that we decided to make this an annual event,” said Garn. “We welcome the opportunity to share knowledge and expertise in a virtual environment because we know it saves time and money. This year, we have an impressive variety of information from our four key solution areas – Windows, Applications, Database and Virtualization – as well as information from Quest Support, Professional Services and our subsidiary, ScriptLogic. So there’s something for everyone.”

Quest Connect 2009 attendees can visit 18 virtual booths to learn more about Quest products and solutions, with a broad range of topics including virtualization, application monitoring, identity and access management, migration, and compliance. Seventeen live webcasts will run every hour throughout the 24-hour event, with Q&A featuring such Quest experts as Jackson Shaw, identity and access management; Brent Ozar, SQL Server; Doug Davis, SharePoint; Hugh McEvoy, applications; Ron Robbins, Exchange; and John Spirko, end-user management.

Fifty additional pre-recorded, on-demand webcasts will be offered by a variety of notable Quest experts including Kevin Kline, Microsoft MVP and SQL Server authority; Joe Baguley, Windows management specialist; Joel Oleson, SharePoint evangelist; and George Pradel, virtualization guru.

Platinum sponsors of Quest Connect 2009 include Microsoft, Dell and NetApp, with Quest subsidiaries Vizioncore and ScriptLogic as gold sponsors.

Admission to Quest Connect 2009 is free. The event will be archived for 90 days so attendees can revisit favorite sessions or recommend them to colleagues. For more information and to register, visit Quest Connect at www.quest.com.
