Vizioncore Achieves 20,000-Customer Milestone

Vizioncore Inc., the market leader in virtualization data protection and management solutions and wholly owned subsidiary of Quest Software, Inc., today announced that the company’s solutions have been adopted by more than 20,000 customers globally.  The accomplishment comes with the recently announced purchase of vRanger Pro by the German Marshall Fund of the United States, a public policy and grant-making institution headquartered in Washington, D.C., with seven offices across Europe.

"Virtualization management providers like Vizioncore continually impress us with truly innovative solutions that customers need to get the fullest value from their implementations,” said Lauren Whitehouse, senior analyst at Enterprise Strategy Group.”These solutions also set the stage for virtualization to take over the data center, resulting in more cost-effective and efficient IT across the board.”

"We have continued to hit major milestones in our growth over the last few years, as shown by recent revenue growth figures – we closed out 2009 with a record-breaking fourth quarter – and have rapidly expanded our customer base," said Vizioncore President and Chief Operating Officer Chris Akerberg. "Reaching the 20,000 customer mark is yet more evidence that we are effectively meeting the needs of our customers and the market."

Vizioncore has made significant strides on the product innovation front. vRanger Pro, long the company’s flagship product, is the leading backup and recovery solution on the market today. Vizioncore’s recently launched Backup 2.0 thought leadership program was designed to help companies understand how products like vRanger Pro are transforming data protection, making it more effective and comprehensive, and lowering the total cost of ownership. In addition, vFoglight™ has steadily gained acceptance and adoption, and has been deployed to date by more than 5,000 customers. In 2009, vOptimizer Pro, Vizioncore’s award-winning storage optimization and reclamation tool, became the fastest-growing product in Vizioncore history.

Akerberg also noted that Vizioncore’s virtualization products and services have won awards over the past year from such organizations as VendorRate, Virtualization Review and TechTarget. The company also has had great success offering freeware products and launching programs such as VESI™, the Virtualization EcoShell Initiative.

"While we are proud of these achievements, the best is yet to come," Akerberg said. "In the next month, we are going to launch a community initiative that we believe will foster even greater communication, openness and sharing among virtualization adopters.  As we move forward to build on milestones already achieved, the entire Vizioncore organization is more motivated than ever to help drive fresh ideas and new value for our customers.”
