AppSense, the leading provider of user virtualization solutions, today announced David Roussain as vice president of business development.
Roussain joins the company with more than 25 years of experience in marketing and business development. Most recently as group vice president at Citrix Systems, Roussain oversaw marketing for Citrix’s application and server virtualization products, including XenApp, Citrix’s $1B flagship product line, and later XenServer. In addition, David was instrumental in expanding Citrix’s relationship with Microsoft across both presentation virtualization and desktop virtualization technologies and solutions.
At AppSense, Roussain will be focused on enhancing AppSense’s strategic partnerships worldwide and developing new partnerships with key desktop platform providers.
“David’s proven track record in developing virtualization initiatives and go-to-market programs with strategic partners such as Citrix and Microsoft will help accelerate AppSense’s growth,” said Darron Antill, COO at AppSense. “As the desktop virtualization market unfolds, companies are demanding solutions that span across multiple desktop and application delivery systems simultaneously. That’s AppSense’s core strength - one user virtualization system for all your desktops, no matter where they originate: local, virtual or cloud.”
With more than 25 years of experience, David has held senior management positions at both large and small companies including Hewlett Packard, Federal Express, and two start-ups.
“I am extremely excited to join AppSense,” said Roussain. “User virtualization is the smart way to deliver powerful, personalized corporate desktops locally, virtually, or from the cloud. AppSense enables companies to accelerate virtual desktop deployments, Windows 7 migrations, and desktop refreshes. I look forward to working with our strategic partners and introducing user virtualization as an essential and strategic solution to every desktop environment.”
