Vizioncore Presents Physical-to-Virtual System Protection with Hyper-V Support at Microsoft Tech-Ed

Vizioncore Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Quest Software, Inc., will demonstrate how vConverter 5.e provides physical-to-virtual server conversion with support for Microsoft Hyper-V environments at the Microsoft Tech-Ed 2010 Conference in New Orleans, June 7-10 (booth 1800).

The 'e' designation stands for early access, with Vizioncore offering a free 90-day license in advance of the general availability of vConverter 5.0 by June 30. Due to the extent of the new capabilities that vConverter 5.0 will offer, Vizioncore is giving administrators the opportunity to use vConverter 5.e as a test bed ahead of the full release. This early view will give end users an exclusive limited time in which to prepare their virtual environments as well as ascertain what benefits can be gained by transforming their data protection capabilities.

vConverter 5.e enables physical-to-virtual system conversions that will promote adoption of both Hyper-V and VMware systems. Physical-to-virtual conversion capabilities enable administrators, for the first time, to safeguard physical systems and data within their virtual infrastructure. vConverter is the first data protection portfolio from Vizioncore to support Hyper-V, with releases of vRanger® Pro and vReplicator due later on in the year.

vConverter 5.e Benefits:

  • Converts physical systems into virtual machines quickly and easily
  • Recovers physical systems from virtual machine images
  • Enables physical systems to be converted, protected, replicated and recovered on either virtual systems or backed up to physical systems
  • Applies image-based data protection to physical systems
  • Unifies protection and recovery of physical and virtual systems
  • Leverages virtual infrastructures for physical data protection
  • Allows for the flexible adoption of strategies for virtual servers
  • Facilitates trouble-shooting of physical systems with virtual infrastructure

vConverter 5.0 will be generally available by June 30. To see a demonstration of the product at Microsoft Tech-Ed 2010, visit Vizioncore at booth 1800.
