Abiquo, a leading cloud management software vendor, today announced that the company’s CEO, Pete Malcolm, will present two keynotes at the forthcoming Cloud Expo Europe at the Prague Hilton Hotel on June 21st and 22nd.
The first General Session, entitled “Eliminate Vendor Lock-in with Next Generation Virtualization Management”, will take place at 11:50 a.m. CET on June 21st. This session will showcase one of the industry’s first demonstrations of drag-and-drop virtual-to-virtual (V2V) conversion of a Virtual Machine image from VMware to Microsoft Hyper-V.
The opening keynote at 9:00am CET on day 2 of the 6th annual Cloud Expo Europe, entitled “An Open Cloud Ecosystem – the Gathering Storm”, will unveil the next chapter in the virtualization story. Abiquo CEO Pete Malcolm will describe what virtualization 2.0 is, what it means, why open standards are key, and most importantly, how it will revolutionize the way organizations manage IT.
“Cloud Expo Europe delegates, visiting analysts and press, and our online SYS-CON.TV audience will not want to miss Abiquo CEO Pete Malcolm's Day 2 Keynote and his General Session on Day 1 at the two-day event. He is going to describe and demonstrate revolutionary, vendor-independent virtualization/cloud management technology breakthroughs,” said Jeremy Geelan, Cloud Expo series Conference Chair. “He'll be expanding on the concept of a ‘Resource Cloud’, a term coined by Malcolm himself in an interview with Cloud Computing Journal, and one which in my view very usefully connotes a complete separation between physical infrastructure providers and virtual enterprise consumers that moves us toward Virtualization 2.0."
"This is precisely the kind of technical and strategic insight Internet technology and infrastructure professionals come to Cloud Expo for, wherever in the world we hold the event,” Geelan added.
