Well, it became official yesterday. The virtualization vendor Vizioncore brand name is officially gone. Wave goodbye!
The company has been part of Quest Software for some time now, but has been left alone for the most part and was able to retain its brand. But Quest announced earlier this year it planned to rename Vizioncore by the end of August. And the two companies assured customers and partners that the rebranding effort wouldn't be an issue for them.
According to the Vizio... Quest partner portal page, that rebranding effort went off as planned. It stated:
"As of August 30, 2010, we are officially the Quest Software Server Virtualization Management group with a committment to offer a full portfolio of solutions that manage ITsystems across virtual, physical and cloud environments. Over the next few weeks, we will be updating materials on this site so that you have the most recent presentations and marketing support."
Quest also acquired Surgient recently, but its name and logo still exists for now. Though the company's Web site is also rebranded and takes you to Quest information. The Surgient logo will probably be short lived as well as it continues to go through its transition as they work out the kinks.
