Altor Networks, a leading innovator and provider of security for virtualized data centers and clouds, today announced that Amir Ben-Efraim, CEO of Altor, will be participating on two upcoming panel sessions about virtualization security and self-service for the cloud at the Interop 2010 Conference in New York, taking place from October 18 – October 22, 2010. This year’s conference will be largely devoted to virtualization, cloud computing and security conversations and designed to help attendees learn how to leverage new technologies to increase efficiency for these environments.
In his first session, “Deploying Self-Service Controls”, which is part of the Two-day Enterprise Cloud Summit focused on private clouds – Amir will discuss how a hyper-visor based security approach enables self-service and resource scaling within the cloud. In session two, “Virtualization Security and Compliance”, Amir will focus on how purpose-built virtualization security coupled with virtualized infrastructure administrative best practices help organizations pass compliance audits.

Enterprise Cloud Summit: ECS On-demand computing resources are the most disruptive change in IT of the last decade, and much of that disruption begins at home. Day one of Enterprise Cloud Summit will focus on private clouds – radically new ways to combine virtualization, automation, and self-service models in order to change how you deliver IT to your business. On day two of Enterprise Cloud Summit, the focus will turn to look at the many public cloud offerings that are leveling the IT playing field. Public cloud providers offer pay-as-you-go economics and tremendous flexibility; but they also create new security, portability, and performance concerns.
