RapidSwitch have announced the soft launch of their latest product, VMware-enabled Dedicated Servers, with a view to a full-scale launch soon.
The product is the perfect solution to the challenges of multiple applications. RapidSwitch's VMware enabled dedicated servers combine the traditional idea of putting each application on a separate server with the notion of virtualisation. The result is the ideal product for most companies who have difficulty with the problem of multiple applications.
The VMware vSphere's simple web interface provides control of dedicated resources of your own server, yet with the capacity to split them into separate virtual servers if desired. It only takes minutes to get things up and running and there are two different packages available, both of which can be customised to suit your requirements.
A spokesperson for RapidSwitch, commented: 'Our VMware-enabled dedicated servers reduce the amount of server power which is often wasted due to the relatively low resource usage of applications on separate servers. But also, buying a VPS is not always the best solution for companies because of the amount of competition for the same physical resources on the same server'.
The VMware Starter is suitable for 5-8 virtual servers with features including 4GB RAM, the capacity to run Windows and Linux on the same physical server, 100MBit network connection, 10,000GB bandwidth per month, free setup and much more.
The VMware Advanced, however, comprises of all the features of the VMware Starter but is suitable for 10-15 virtual servers, has 8GM RAM, Hardware RAID1 and free setup, amongst many more features.
RapidSwitch is a renowned dedicated hosting company based in the UK and are constantly growing and evolving to remain at the forefront of web hosting. Just recently, they announced plans for expansion across their data centres to meet demands and improve performance for their customers. They already have existing data centres across the country and host over 4,000 dedicated servers.
