Wyse Technology, the global leader in cloud client computing, is participating in BETT 2011, the world’s largest technology in education event, running from January 12th to 15th 2011, Olympia, London UK. The event offers educators the opportunity to experience Wyse’s unrivalled breadth of solutions delivering better computing for learning and teaching. Wyse is demonstrating its solutions in the West Hall Ground Floor, Stand D160.
The full range of Wyse desktop virtualization solutions for educational IT are showcased on the Wyse stand. These start from the innovative shared computing solution based on Wyse E01 zero clients for Microsoft MultiPoint Server that enables up to 10 students to share a single computer. This entry level desktop virtualization solution is designed to be easy for teachers to set up and use in the classroom, provides the familiar Windows 7 desktop experience, and requires no advanced IT expertise.
For institutions that have selected either Citrix XenDesktop or VMware View as part of a major PC replacement and virtualization strategy, Wyse is showing its specially optimized zero clients that can be quickly deployed and are simple to manage and support campus-wide in classrooms, open learning centers and administrators’ offices. These zero clients also support the full array of educational applications including rich multi-media applications for digital arts and video production.
Alongside the latest zero clients, Wyse is showing its range of Wyse thin desktop and mobile clients for accessing virtualized and web-based desktops and applications. In addition, for situations where there is a requirement for some applications to run on the desktop, Wyse is demonstrating how its new Wyse cloud PCs deliver a cost-effective, no-compromise Windows 7 experience.
Wyse is present across the event on its partners’ stands including A2Z Core IT Solutions, Babcock International Group, Dataspire Solutions, European Electronique, NetSupport, RM and Tribune Business Systems and Vcentral.
David Angwin, director of marketing EMEA, Wyse Technology will be hosting an update and forum session on the latest innovations and technologies in the Digital Classroom in the BETT 2011 Software Zone seminar theatre at 1.00pm, 12th January and 2.00pm 13th January.
