Citrix Announces Winners in Citrix Ready Storage Challenge

Citrix has announced the winners of their Citrix Ready Storage Challenge which kicked off back in October 2011.  Companies that took part in the challenge submitted some really great videos to be considered one of the award winners. Some of the featured companies included: Atlantis Computing, Dell, EMC, HP, Nexenta, Sanbolic, and Virsto.

These Citrix Ready partners captured the community's attention with their video demonstrations about what makes their innovative tools and storage solutions unique and how they help IT deploy virtualization solutions through innovative and informative videos.  The contest enabled Citrix storage partners to demonstrate how their storage solutions address specific needs, including performance, manageability, cost, ease of use, lowered power consumption and other relevant issues concerning customers when taking decision regarding storage in XenDesktop environments.

The contest has concluded, with voting closing on November 11th after receiving a host of views on the contest page and numerous votes being cast by the community.  And now, Citrix has announced the Citrix Ready Storage Challenge 2011 winners:

  • Best storage for Desktop Virtualization deployments overall – HP
  • Best storage savings – Virsto
  • Best performance – Dell
  • Innovative technology – Nexenta
  • Most innovative video – Atlantis Computing

What's really cool about the "Most innovative video” is that this category is chosen by the community!  The winners of the other categories were selected by a panel of judges comprised of independent industry analysts and select Citrix executives.

If you didn't get a chance to see the video submissions, don't worry.  You can still watch videos for this year's storage challenge on the Citrix Ready Storage Challenge site or on Citrix TV.

VMblog would like to send congratulations to all of the winners.  Great videos!
