Infinitely Virtual Adds McAfee SaaS Total Protection Suite to its Cloud Hosting Platform -- Expands and Consolidates Threat Protection Options

Placing threat protection under one roof, Infinitely Virtual, a leading provider of virtual server cloud computing services for businesses, today announced that it has teamed with McAfee to offer its SaaS Total Protection, a comprehensive hosted solution offering endpoint, email, Internet and network protection.

“Our clients asked for an all-in-one solution and we’ve responded by partnering with an industry leader in the security space,” said Adam Stern, founder and CEO, Infinitely Virtual. “With McAfee, we’re delivering end-to-end protection, enabling customers to receive immediate, up-to-the-minute threat protection to ensure that data, systems, and networks are instantly and consistently secure. McAfee nicely complements our intrusion detection and prevention system, which goes beyond the firewall to stop malware, phishing, SQL injection and other aggressive threats.”

McAfee SaaS Total Protection service is available to Infinitely Virtual clients on a monthly basis or by annual subscription.

“Data security is always a primary concern for our customers,” said Nate Freeman, Infinitely Virtual partner and founder of Network People, Inc., which specializes in secure business computing and web development. “Adding McAfee SaaS Total Protection to the already robust Infinitely Virtual security platform is the icing on the cake. We like the fact that Infinitely Virtual continues to raise the security bar for all of us in the cloud hosting field.”

“McAfee enables us to put endpoint protection on the server, giving us greater control over preventing viruses, spyware and hacker attacks,” said Stern. “With McAfee, and our intrusion detection and prevention (IDPS) combining forces, we are offering companies the toughest security available to protect their data in the cloud.”

Among the principal benefits of McAfee SaaS Total Protection:

  • Host-based and cloud-based web filtering, which protects against malicious and suspicious sites and stops malware and other web-borne threats.
  • Cloud-based email filtering and continuity, which can stop email-borne attacks and spam before they reach the network. It also enforces email policies to prevent sensitive data loss.
  • Email server security prevents spam and filter messages containing unwanted content from damaging email servers.
  • Real-time updating with minimal effort keeps desktops, servers, and networks protected against ever-evolving security threats.
