Embotics Corporation, a pioneer in virtualisation and automated cloud management, today announced its plans to further expand its business across Europe. The European team will be headed up by Colin Wright, who has been appointed as the company’s Vice President for EMEA. Colin will be responsible for executing Embotics’ go-to-market strategy in Europe, growing the company’s reseller partners across the region and increasing sales of Embotics V-Commander.
Colin has more than 20 years’ experience working in the technology sector, with a strong track record growing a number of virtualisation and cloud companies. He has created successful EMEA sales operations for a number of software companies (Veeam Software, Vizioncore Inc and Scriptlogic Corporation) as their first international employee. Prior to that, Colin held a number of sales management roles at Citrix Systems. More recently, Colin was Business Unit Director (Virtualisation, VDI, Cloud) at MTI Europe and Head of Desktop Virtualisation Sales at 2e2.

Since the start of the year, Embotics has increased its presence across Europe. In January, Embotics announced its first pan-European distribution deal with Magirus, giving it access to the company’s 6,000 resellers in the region. More recently, Embotics launched its new partner programme aimed at resellers across the UK and Europe to help them grow their revenue streams. Embotics V-Commander can be installed and configured in a matter of minutes, requiring minimal staff training. This can help resellers identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in their virtual data centres in addition to dramatically lowering the costs of deploying private clouds. For channel partners it provides a great way to offer value-added services and demonstrate ROI to their customers.
