Teradici, the developer of the innovative PC-over-IP (PCoIP) protocol that enables a true PC experience for desktop virtualization, today announced that it will be exhibiting at VMworld 2012 Europe taking place October 9 – 11 at Fira Barcelona, Spain. Teradici will demonstrate its latest PCoIP solutions in booth G306, and company product directors Olivier Favre and Ziad Lammam will lead breakout sessions titled “What’s New with PCoIP solutions and VDI Clients” and “An Inside Look at What’s New with the PCoIP Protocol and Products,” respectively.
Teradici will feature its new Remote Desktop Solutions Host (RDSH) solution, which delivers PCoIP capabilities to Microsoft Windows Server® Published Desktops (Terminal Services). With Teradici RDSH, IT managers who deploy both VMware View and RDS desktop environments can now have consistent performance, security, and user experience across both types of desktop pools.
“VMworld Europe is a great opportunity for us to demonstrate the full portfolio of PCoIP solutions we recently brought to market,” said Trent Punnett, vice president of marketing, product management and systems engineering, Teradici. “Teradici’s live booth demonstrations and breakout sessions will give this year’s attendees a greater understanding of the enterprise benefits, such as improved user experience and simplified desktop management, made possible by our PCoIP technologies.”
Other new solutions that will be showcased at VMworld Europe include:
- Teradici APEX Software Release 2.0 — an update that introduces new, future-proof functionalities bringing better user experience to VMware View and Teradici RDSH users, as well as increased flexibility for IT managers.
- Next-Generation Tera2 PCoIP Zero Clients — are the most modern, most secure, easiest to manage and highest performance endpoints for VMware View, remote workstation and RDSH published desktops. Tera2 zero clients include a more powerful image engine and are packed with many new features that our customers have been asking for.
- PCoIP Optimized Software Clients — software clients for VMware View deployments that have been optimized to take advantage of specific partner platforms. They combine the flexibility of an embedded platform with the high performance and rich feature set for which Teradici PCoIP clients are renowned.
- Next-Generation Tera2 Remote Workstation Solutions — highest performance solution that includes the TERA2220 dual display or TERA2240 quad display host processor, which enable users to move Windows or Linux workstations into the datacenter and connect with a PCoIP zero client remotely without impacting application performance.
