Zerto, the industry's first hypervisor-based replication solution
provider, today announced that Jefferson National has chosen Zerto Virtual
Replication (ZVR) to provide disaster recovery services for its internal file
server and production applications. Jefferson National is an
innovative financial services firm that provides tax-deferred investing
solutions to a network of more than 2,000 registered investment advisors (RIAs)
and fee-based advisors nationwide, helping them serve their clients to build wealth
and achieve their financial goals.
Jefferson National implemented ZVR to protect a new datacenter that was
recently opened for redundancy and failover purposes. The company is currently
protecting a variety of mission-critical production applications including SQL
servers, web servers, Exchange and its online variable annuity product, a
unique tax-deferred investing solution that allows advisors and their clients
to manage and trade between more than 380 different underlying funds, including
stock funds, bond funds, commodity funds, ETF portfolios and more. By replacing
its previous replication technology with Zerto, Jefferson National achieved a
recovery point objective (RPO) near zero and reduced its recovery time
objective (RTO) from four hours down to minutes.
"Zerto's replication solution is incredibly simple to set up, use and
manage. We recently did a disaster recovery test to fail over production to our
Atlanta data center. With just a few clicks, and in less than 30 minutes, we
had all of our production applications back up," said Jeff Chandler, VP of
Technology Operations, Jefferson National. "Zerto's hypervisor-based
replication solution eliminates risk. Furthermore, support has been
outstanding, and it delivers on the RPO/RTOs that our company requires."
Zerto offers a virtual-aware business continuity and disaster recovery
(BC/DR) solution, which replicates data within the virtual infrastructure
instead of in physical storage. By moving replication to the hypervisor,
companies extend the benefits of virtualization, including flexibility,
mobility and scalability, to their disaster recovery solutions. Zerto's
hypervisor-based replication combines the enterprise-class features of physical
replication with the flexibility, ease- of-management and control, and
scalability of virtual environments.
"As with all our
customers, our goal is to provide Jefferson National with the most powerful yet
user-friendly BC/DR solution available for the enterprise," said Ziv Kedem,
CEO, Zerto, Inc. "We know that every second counts in the financial
services industry, and specifically designed ZVR to eliminate lengthy outages
of the sort that previously threatened not only Jefferson National but also its
network of advisors and their clients."
